How do we locate and understand Vermont's voids, historically, and currently? What would it mean to fill or rectify the voids around us?

Kyra Dissinger, Cameron Mincar, Jessica Robles, and Noah Limanek explore these questions in an upcoming exhibition at Karma Birdhouse, April 23-30.

Participants (from left to right):

Kyra Dissinger is a full-time Creative Media student at Champlain College and is from Underhill, Vermont. She works inside a broad spectrum of art mediums but is currently enjoying analog photography, soft sculpture, painting, and woodburning. At school, she is employed at the weekly open-mic nights and serves as the Art Director for the school publication, Chivomengro.

Cameron Mincar grew up in Richmond, Vermont, and am now living in Burlington studying graphic design at Champlain College. As a designer, he really enjoys contemporary styles that blend various ideas, mediums, and genres. he is taking time now to learn from, explore, and enjoy the things and people around him that keep the exciting spark of creative thinking alive. Creative expression is one of the most powerful ways to get ideas across.

Jessica Robles creates innovative graphic design work that deals with identity, language, and the unnoticed layers of communication. She wants to bring her culture and life into her work and as A Peruvian Immigrant is basing her academic research on Peruvian hand lettering and Latin American typography. Jessica is currently pursuing an MFA in graphic design at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Noah Limanek is a graphic designer from Williston, Vermont. He loves creating tufted rugs and designing vinyl toys. Transforming ideas and concepts into tangible artwork is incredibly rewarding to him.
