I am twenty-two years old. I’ve been in Vermont for five years. I originally came here to pursue an education in the arts, I’m on a break at the moment but I will return to get my degree next semester. I’m originally from Lynn, Massachusetts.

I do feel some support from the Vermont community, but there is always room for improvement. I don’t feel that there is enough representation in my creative community. It’s just mostly not seeing people and cultures like me/mine in the media and the workplace. Representation is important to me because it allows for others to see a different narrative than the norm. It’s important to learn from others as humans, and from their cultures to share and embrace the differences that we have.

I consider myself a creative because ever since I was little I have always been an out of the box thinker. This way of thinking has helped create some of my pieces and provided many interesting and creative ideas for when I work in groups. My creativity also stems from my experiences and my interests. I typically do digital art on my iPad with procreate. But I’m always open to using traditional mediums. I would love to pursue a career in making art for others and just being creative. From making logos to creating characters I love the feeling of making art for a client and having them love the piece overall. I also love the process of taking a client's idea and basically making it come to life. Some mentors in my life would be from a nonprofit organization in Lynn, MA called RAW ARTS. They have the most lovely art therapists and mentors. Through this program I was able to grow as an artist and gain confidence in the art I was making. I like to do 2D art so typically I always start an idea off with a sketch then once I feel comfortable with the sketch I just outline and color (I’ll add shading depending on the depth of the drawing and sketch). I draw visual inspiration from things in my home.

I love listening to Meghan Thee Stallion while making art.
