Explore the timeless art of letterpress at Shelburne Museum.

Curious to see a 200-year-old letterpress in action? Join us at Shelburne Museum, where expert press operators will demonstrate how their collection of nineteenth- and twentieth-century use moveable type to create prints. What’s coming off the presses? A limited edition AIGA VT poster designed for this event— free to all participants!

Museum staff will also have mobile presses for you to create your own mini design on postcards. In between demonstrations and printing, check out the hands-on type in the Shaker Shed, meet fellow creatives, and enjoy snacks by Sugarsnap.

Our thanks to Shelburne Museum’s on-site printers—Sally Ratcliffe, Roseann Petrie, and Heather Hale—for sharing their skills and knowledge with the Vermont creative community.

Participation limited to 40 people; tickets first come, first served. If you reserve a space and can longer attend, please email .
